Historocity in Practice: Public Use & Examples

In a world full of things, some objects mean more. They hold memory, history, and identity. They carry stories. We call that hidden value of meaning: Historocity.

Today, we’re excited to share that Historocity® is now a registered trademark—and more than that, it’s a new word for something you’ve probably felt your whole life.

What Is Historocity?

Historocity is the value of an object’s history. It’s what makes your grandmother’s recipe card more precious than any cookbook. What gives a vintage guitar more soul than a factory-new one? It’s not about price, it’s about provenance.

Now, with the Historocity® Platform, you can do more than just remember; you can attach personal or historical stories to any object, capturing the moments, memories, and meaning that make it special. Whether an item is kept, gifted, traded, or inherited, its story stays with it for future reference.

And because meaning comes in many forms, Historocity® also scores each object across multiple dimensions, like sentimental value, monetary worth, historical significance, and more—helping you better understand and share why something matters.

Why Did We Trademark It?

We built the Historocity® Platform to help people preserve the meaningful stories behind objects. That required a new kind of system and a new kind of word. Registering the trademark helps us protect the platform and product we’re building. But we also believe the word itself belongs in the world.

Use It Freely, Respectfully

We invite everyone to use the term historocity when talking about the meaningful value of objects. Use it in blogs, TikToks, books, classrooms anywhere people discuss memories, museums, or mementos.

Please just remember:

Historocity® (capitalized and marked) refers to our platform and technology.
historocity (lowercase) is for the general concept.

We’re building a future where stories stick and historocity is how we get there.
